CAMLINK · EFFECTIVE 2026-10-19
Terms and conditions
Scope and contact
These terms describe use of Camlink's Android app, Windows companion and download website. Effective 19 October 2026. Contact support@camora.com. Use Camlink only when you have authority to use the devices and to transmit the captured picture and sound.
Software licence and price
The implemented Camlink features in this release are free. There are no subscriptions, automatic charges or accounts. Camlink's own source is licensed under the included MIT licence. That licence governs permissions to use, copy, modify and redistribute the software; these terms do not remove those rights. Third-party components retain their own licences and copyright notices, available in Third-party licences and with the distribution.
Consent and responsible use
You control when streaming starts and which inputs are enabled. Obtain any consent required from people whose image, voice or surroundings you capture, and follow applicable privacy and recording laws. Do not use Camlink for unauthorized monitoring, covert capture, unlawful activity or access to devices you do not control. Do not share pairing QR codes or credentials with people you do not trust.
Requirements and third-party applications
This release targets Android 8 or later and Windows 11 x64 over the same private Wi-Fi. Camera, audio, network, battery and operating-system behavior vary. Native Windows camera output is currently 720p at 30 fps; higher phone capture settings depend on hardware. System microphone use requires a separate VB-CABLE installation, subject to its vendor's terms. OBS is optional. Meeting, browser and recording applications may require their own permissions and may record or transmit the stream under their own policies. USB and multi-phone support are not included in this release.
Availability and updates
Features and compatibility may change with app, operating-system or third-party updates. A release candidate is provided for testing and is not a guarantee of uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every device or calling application. Keep local settings and private signing keys backed up as appropriate. Check the supplied verification report and release notes before relying on a build.
Warranty and responsibility
The MIT licence supplies the software as is and explains its warranty and liability terms. To the extent permitted by applicable law, no additional guarantee of fitness, reliability or support response time is made here. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights. Stop capture and disconnect the apps if you encounter an error or unexpected behavior.
Privacy and future changes
The Privacy policy explains input access, local pairing storage, encrypted transmission and support correspondence. Review revised terms when updating. Any future paid offering would need its own clearly presented purchase terms and will not create charges merely because you use this free release.
